Designer Peta Odini Sutherland is from the island of St. Vincent. She began her studies in fashion as a Textile design student and this background is a huge influence on her work. She is now a mens wear designer. Fashion in the Caribbean is dominated by females. While menswear designers such as Ecliff Elie are making their mark in the fashion industry of the Caribbean, the fashionable man has been making a comeback and statement all of their own. Peta plays with a lot of textures and prints and has debuted lines such as Animal Farm, a Candy print, Amazona print and a Rasta Lion print, all big hits both in St. Vincent and the United States. Peta hopes to take not only her brand but St. Vincent and the Grenadines into new markets. Peta is destined to place the island of St Vincent on the map and seen as a source of creative, quality apparel. Check out Peta Odini designs at www.petaodini.com

ONE MEMOIR- SHELLY- ANN GAJADHAR
Shelly Ann Gajadhar founded the clothing company One Memoir. Shelly Ann is from Trinidad and Tobago and together with Justin Delp from Germany, they came up with the idea of a sustainable fashion company during their entrepreneurship course at University of Edinburgh. Both Shelly and Justin decided that waste reduction would be the focus of the company after realizing how much textile waste there was in the UK. One Memoir prides itself into two things; Waste Reduction and Designger Opportunity, One Memoir takes clothes that were to be discarded and redirect them to designers who would make something out them. They would re work them into something wearable, fashionable; one of a kind. Check out Shelly Ann and One Memoir at www.facebook.com/onememoir
