PETA ODINI SUTHERLAND

Designer Peta Odini Sutherland is from the island of St. Vincent. She began her studies in fashion as a Textile design student and this background is a huge influence on her work. She is now a mens wear designer. Fashion in the Caribbean is dominated by females. While menswear designers such as Ecliff Elie are making their mark in the fashion industry of the Caribbean, the fashionable man has been making a comeback and statement all of their own. Peta plays with a lot of textures and prints and has debuted lines such as Animal Farm, a Candy print, Amazona print and a Rasta Lion print, all big hits both in St. Vincent and the United States. Peta hopes to take not only her brand but St. Vincent and the Grenadines into new markets.
